Although you are physically remote you are still able to enjoy a wide array of the services that we provide! 

Borrowing physical items from GSA Library

If you would like to borrow a physical book in our collection, please email library@gsa.ac.uk with the book details from our catalogue and let us know you are based at Altyre campus.  We will then send the book to the Forres office and it will be issued to your library account there when you collect it.

You can make a suggestion for purchase from GSA Library here

Please make sure you mark that you are based in Forres and we will prioritize a digital copy of your request.  You can also email us to discuss scanning chapters of books for resource lists (within Copyright constraints).

Online Helpdesk

We have Library support staff available to chat online via our helpdesk software during Library opening hours - please use this support available to you.  We can answer Library or Canvas and online resource questions in real time.

 

One to One Zoom bookable appointments

We also offer one to one bookable appointments with Learning Technology Officers where you can ask questions relating to Canvas or online tools: Padlet, Miro etc or about any of the software we have on the Library computers: office 365, Adobe suite. Please get in touch by emailing LTHelp@gsa.ac.uk and arrange a time to set up a one to one appointment.

Resource Lists

When staff are putting together resource lists for their courses, please let us know you are based in Forres and we will prioritize digital copies and scanned chapters for your requested resources.  You can find more information about resource lists here.

 

Information and Digital Skills Workshops

The Library offers a wide array of information and digital skills workshops.  You can view our full prospectus here.

 

Academic staff or students can request a session for a group of students, we are pleased to deliver these over Zoom or arrange a time to  deliver these in person at the Altyre campus or in Glasgow.
