How can I access the Immersive Reader?

Immersive Reader is a tool built into Microsoft Office software e.g. Word and Outlook.
The Immersive Reader is a tool designed to improve reading accessibility and comprehension. It has features that allow users to customise how text appears, such as adjusting text size, spacing, and background colour. It provides features like "Read Aloud," which reads text aloud while highlighting the words, and tools to break words into syllables and highlight parts of speech. It can help create a more personalised and comfortable reading experience, especially for those with learning differences.
Immersive Reader in Microsoft Word
To access the Immersive Reader in Microsoft Word desktop app,

Open your Word document.

Select the View tab, then select Immersive Reader . Immersive Reader will launch a full screen experience.
Immersive Reader in the Online Apps
To access the Immersive Reader in the online app versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint follow the same steps, however please note that if you are using Google Chrome you will need to ensure that third party cookies are allowed.
You would do this by clicking on the eye icon located to the right of the url address bar and ensuring that they eye icon is not crossed out.
You will only need to do this once for all apps.
Immersive Reader in Outlook

Open your Outlook desktop app.

Select the View tab, then select Immersive Reader. Immersive Reader will launch in your email pane.
