I am struggling to view my resource list when accessing it via my Canvas course.

Answer

We are experiencing issues when accessing resource lists via Canvas courses on smaller screens, such as a laptop. When scrolling on a smaller screen, the header box at the top stays static, meaning you cannot see the resources underneath.

This issue has been reported to our online resource list software support team, Keylinks. However, in the meantime, please follow the below text or video instructions to fix the issue.

  1. You can access your resource list by logging into your Canvas course, clicking 'Modules' on the left hand side and 'Reading and Online Resource List':
  2. If you are scrolling and are struggling to see the resources under the header box, the best way to fix this is to zoom out on your browser.
  3. There are two ways to do this:
    • On a computer, you can use the keyboard shortcut: 'control' and the 'plus' and 'minus' keys.
      • To zoom out, press ctrl and - [minus] keys.
      • Zooming out to 90% should be enough, but if you are on quite a small screen, you may need to zoom out to 80%.
    • If you don’t use a keyboard, you can also do this by opening the browser settings, which is usually found in the top right-hand corner behind either three dots or three stacked lines, and finding the zoom settings.

You should now be able to scroll and see all your resources clearly.

However, if you find the writing becomes too small once zoomed out, you can always find your list on our main Keylinks site, as this issue does not seem to be occurring there.

  1. Visit gsa.keylinks.org
  2. Use the search bar or tiles to navigate to your course resource list
