What referencing software should I use?
Answer
There are several tools that you can use to make referencing quicker and easier.
We recommend using Zotero, which you can download for free and use to add citations to documents, automatically generate bibliographies, and organise your files.
Zotero can be used for both MHRA and Harvard referencing, as opposed to other tools like Mendeley, which is not compatible with the footnotes needed to create citations in MHRA.
We are working on creating a guide to using Zotero, but in the meantime you can watch McGill University's useful YouTube videos to learn the basics, or get in touch using our contact form if you have any questions.
